An on-demand service platform connecting service providers and service seekers.
Starting on this project as a junior in undergrad, working to launch PINWRK as a startup was undoubtedly the best experience of my college education.
The story commences with a phone call from Claoe Louis, a visionary CEO and startup enthusiast with an invitation to join an intriguing startup project as a member of the founding team. The idea piqued my interest and presented me with an opportunity to use what I learned in class in a practical way and to hone my software engineering skills, so I jumped at the opportunity to join. I had no idea exactly how we would accomplish the goal, but Claoe assured me that we could work through every hurdle since he was also an experienced software engineer.
My role was to translate Claoe's idea into reality. As an end-to-end software engineer, I was responsible for designing the back-end, application layer and front end of the mobile application. Our team embraced the Agile methodology and embarked on a journey to conduct meticulous research before storyboarding and crafting initial low-fidelity screens. This marked the inception of our development phase, where the application took shape. Continual adaptation and enhancement became our norm, driven by insights gleaned from user interviews and product testing.
PINWRK, over time, has undergone significant evolution, mirroring the strides I've made as a professional. The coding challenges we encountered proved to be invaluable lessons, serving as steppingstones rather than stumbling blocks. Each obstacle I overcame not only bolstered my technical prowess but also contributed to my growth as a capable leader.
In retrospect, my association with PINWRK stands as a testament to the transformative power of collaboration, innovation, and unwavering dedication and the guidance of Claoe and the collective efforts of the team have shaped me into a more adept software engineer and accomplished leader.

JFPainting is a business that specializes in providing painting services to residential, commercial, or industrial clients.
JFPainting stands as a proud family enterprise, nurtured over time. I have consistently lent a hand to the company whenever my father required support. Given his status as an immigrant from Slovakia, his command of English was limited. Consequently, I assumed responsibility for various crucial aspects of the business, ranging from meticulous estimates to the seamless management of day-to-day tasks.
Beyond the confines of the business realm, I was also actively involved in the hands-on construction facet of our operations. Engaging in these practical endeavors has offered me profound insights into the substantial rigor demanded by this industry, fostering within me a profound appreciation for the value of hard work.

Computer Science Society is a resource that provides an opportunity for students at DePaul University to collaborate on Computer Science-related projects, expand their Computer Science education, and host events related to Computer Science.
When I initially joined the Computer Science Society (CSS), I ascended into an officer position. For about a year, I fulfilled this role before taking on the role of the organization's president. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the club had encountered some setbacks- undeterred, my team of dedicated officers and I embarked on a transformative journey to enhance our marketing strategies and amplify the Computer Science Society. Through thoughtful redesign of our logo as well as improvements in our primary communication platform, we witnessed a remarkable resurgence.
Our efforts yielded an influx of new members, leading to a substantial increase in weekly turnouts for our meetings, and high retention. The club's roster grew by an impressive 303 students since my tenure as president began. Moreover, I was able to bring back our annual hackathon, a tradition that had been interrupted by the pandemic. I tackled the challenge of reinstating "Demon Hacks," an event whose details have faded from the organization's memories.
A significant hurdle emerged, when securing sponsors to support the yearly event. Despite the challenges, I am elated to report our triumphant success in securing sponsors, resulting in the flawless execution of the hackathon experience. In addition to this, I found satisfaction from fostering a learning environment within the organization, providing tutoring opportunities, and orchestrating interactions with professionals from a variety of esteemed companies.
In retrospect, this club has proven to be an exceptional platform that facilitated the junction of many incredible individuals. Through CSS, I have formed meaningful connections with many people, cementing my conviction that this experience has been nothing short of extraordinary!
